Cargo Interiors were approached by Green Retreats to help with two office projects at the same time, an office refurbishment and a separate office fit-out at their Buckinghamshire site.
Green Retreats’ success had meant that the company was growing fast. This project involved two different workspaces that needed to be completed in tandem for ultimate efficiency and to keep customer service levels high with no interruption.
To accommodate for the growth of personnel, Green Retreats acquired a second office space nearby which needed to be fitted out alongside a refurbishment of their existing office.
Green Retreats were looking for a flexible work environment in an open plan style. The workspaces needed to offer something unique for each of the varied departments in their company.
Green Retreats has many different departments in their company, so we made it our mission to understand the needs of each of them.
The creative workshop was a fun and exciting discovery session with each department to get to know them and to discuss their needs. This meant that our designers could hit the ground running with layout ideas and recommendations.
1. Bright & Vibrant Office Refurbishment Project:
For the existing office refurbishment project, it was important to rework the office furniture the company already had into the scheme – helping to save money and waste. The Cargo designers added extra office furniture to match the existing bright and vibrant style, whilst also designing an overall layout that would comfortably accommodate the growing team.
As part of the office design, we created flat layouts and 3d renders to show how we would adjust the office and make the most of their available space.
2. Rustic Style Office Fit-Out Project:
For the new office fit-out, our designers were presented with a blank canvas space in need of all of the basics to create a workable solution. This included everything from raised-access flooring to a kitchen and boardroom design in a rustic style. The Cargo designers created a plan for the office layout including furniture recommendations.
Key Project Features:
To create distinct areas that suited the different roles within the company we used smart office design and furniture to make an agile yet functional solution. Acoustic panels between sales desks meant that customers and consultants could have meaningful conversations over the phone without interruption.
The marketing department at Green Retreats are an energetic team who need to collaborate and discuss ideas. Break-out areas helped to give a change in the environment for a more dynamic work style, creating surfaces that the team could gather round in a huddle.
The on-the-road sales team occasionally dropped into the office and often worked from tablet devices. Whilst they didn’t need a permanent desk, and space was at a premium, our designers recommended adjustable office chairs that double-up as comfortable workspaces for tablets.
